Spain is Usfans' home turf
Nearly half of all Usfans searches come from Spain, about 14,800 a month in our keyword data, and the agent has adapted to that audience. Its interface is available in Spanish, and Spanish buyers talk about a line aimed specifically at Spain. For someone ordering from Madrid, that means more choice and more shared experience than buyers in most other countries get.
This guide covers the practical side: which line to pick, what tax you'll pay, how delivery works, and the special case of the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla.
Madrid buyers get Usfans' best-supported market, in their own language.
Three ways to ship to Madrid
| Line type | Speed | Taxes | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spain-focused line | One buyer reported 11 days from order | Check the line | Everyday clothing parcels |
| DHL with duties paid | About 5–10 days after leaving the warehouse | Included | Urgent or valuable parcels |
| Economy | Several weeks, sometimes over a month | Check the line | Heavy parcels with no deadline |
Names and prices change, so compare the lines offered for your Madrid address at checkout. Our Spanish Spain line guide goes deeper.
The Spain line is the usual middle ground; DHL for urgency, economy for weight.
Spanish VAT and the EU duty
Every parcel to mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands pays VAT, IVA, at 21% on the goods and shipping. Since 1 July 2026, the EU also charges a temporary €3 customs duty for each different item category in parcels worth up to €150 sent under IOSS. Ten identical t-shirts count as one category; a t-shirt, a cap and trainers count as three. Above €150, normal duty rates apply instead, and they vary by product.
| Parcel value | VAT | Customs duty |
|---|---|---|
| Up to €150 (IOSS) | 21% | €3 per item category |
| Above €150 | 21% | Normal rate by product |
Count 21% VAT plus €3 for each product type in small parcels.
Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla
The Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla sit outside the EU VAT area and have their own tax arrangements, such as the Canary Islands' IGIC. Not every Usfans line serves them, and parcels may be handled differently at customs. If you live there, check the lines offered for your postcode carefully and ask support how taxes are handled before paying.
Outside the mainland, confirm the line and tax treatment first.
Delivery in Madrid
Economy and Spain-focused lines usually hand parcels to Correos or a local courier for the last leg, often with a new tracking number. DHL lines deliver directly. Keep a Spanish phone number with the +34 prefix on your address, include your floor and door, and expect a text or call if the courier needs to arrange delivery or collect any charges on a line that didn't include taxes.
Full address, floor and a +34 number prevent most delivery problems.
Timing around Spanish holidays
Allow extra time before Christmas and Three Kings' Day on 6 January, when Spanish couriers are busiest, and remember that Chinese New Year, usually late January or February, slows sellers and warehouses. Ordering in November for a 6 January gift is safer than ordering in December.
Order early for Christmas and Reyes.
Cutting the cost
- Combine items into one parcel within Usfans' 90 days of free storage.
- Remove shoe boxes to reduce volumetric weight.
- Keep product types down in small parcels to limit the €3 duty.
- Use shipping coupons; see cupones de Usfans.
Estimate the total with our shipping estimator.
One compact parcel with few product types is the cheapest way to Madrid.
In Spanish
All of this is covered in Spanish in our Spanish section, starting with cómo comprar en Usfans. Customs can also seize goods that infringe trademarks; the money for a seized parcel is usually lost.
